ew EP Release By Clarence Bucaro

Da Silva Artists and 2020 records are proud to release 4 new songs by Clarence Bucaro, Still Wide With Wonder EP – The B Sides. Brooklyn-based, Cleveland native Clarence Bucaro’s new release follows the critically acclaimed self-release “‘Til Spring” and the Rounder Records release “Sense of Light,” which Barnes and Noble proclaimed “Think Bob Marley channeled through John Mayer.” The EP will preview Clarence’s highly anticipated topical and edgy “Walls of the World” due out in Spring 2012… “Still Side With Wonder” was a favorite of mine, but didn’t necessarily fit the upcoming record, so we’re taking this opportunity to give you a taste of the upcoming 2012 record” says Bucaro of the EP’s material.

The EP was produced by Chocolate Genius and mixed by Tchad Blake. Featuring an all-star cast such as Patrick Warren (Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Tom Waits, Joe Henry) on the keys, Stuart Matthewman (Sade, Maxwell) on the horns and Ollabelle’s Glenn Patscha.

Since the critically acclaimed songwriter released “Til Spring”, the prolific songwriter has written and recorded an abundance of new material. Still Wide With Wonder EP – The B Sides provides a bridge to his next release, a gentle teaser of things to come…

Upcoming tour date highlights:

· October 11, 8:00 PM – Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 1
· November 2, 8:00 PM – The Mint – Los Angeles

Clarence is also the Northeast finalist in the Mountain Stage NewSong contest and will be performing in the Winter Garden at World Financial during CMJ on Thursday, October 20. He will play at a second Mountain Stage showcase at Rockwood Music Hall on Saturday, October 22 from 1-4.

Tony Ortiz – “Follow With My Love”

If you like good rock songs with meaning and a good message in the rock contemporary crossover style of Jon Bon Jovi and Brian Adams,
then I know you’ll really get into this nicely produced 4 SONG EP.

http://www.reverbnation.com/tonyortizus

As I listen more intent ally to each following new track, I begin to notice how my mood starts to change for the better while jam’n to these catchy but reflective songs. Furthermore, all four songs are definitely lite rock air-wave friendly for the masses. If you like warm raspy and at times edgy-vocals reminiscent of Jeff Scott Soto (Journey, Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman), then these energetic guitar oriented and “just plain-fun” tunes will help set your day in motion, and in the right direction.

For over 20 years, Tony Ortiz has been an active musician, songwriter, vocalist, and lead guitarist, leaving an indelible mark on the Bay Area music scene with his unique brand of music. Known for his dynamic performance style, Tony has fronted for several successful bands, including the progressive, “Zero Hour”, “Madman’s Lullaby”, “Crush (Bon Jovi tribute)”, and is currently with “Hare Metal” and “Tony Ortiz (Band)”.

Songs:

1. Beyond A Life Time
2. Stay One More Day
3. Love Beside You
4. Tomorrow Was Yesterday

What I like about Tony is that he has that Springsteen songwriting ability… That’s writing good song with thought provoking themes. For easy going, laid back rock music, this album is a pretty good place to go… I’m certainly looking forward to hearing more from Maestro Ortiz.

I give this CD 4 Stars out of 5

sarat

TMA Italian Artist Sara Taccardi has released the English version of her CD “Questa Sono Io” – “This Is Who I Am” to digital outlets worldwide.

The results are ten songs that pass with the greatest of ease from the acoustic pop of “Eterno (Eternal)” to the Latin rhythm of “Lugar Celestial”, to pop-rock of “Questa sono io”, to romantic ballads of “Quello Che Vorrei (My Desire)” and “Resterò Con Te (I’ll Be With You)” all bound together by the voice of this artist who is growing up both personally and professionally. Through them all, Sara shares with all of us her life, made of joy and sorrow, fears, hopes and a certainty coming from a deep faith.

Neon Trees is recording their sophomore album at Ocean Way Recording, following the smash success of their debut CD, “Habits.” The new as-yet-untitled album is being helmed by producer and bass player Justin Meldel-Johnsen, known for his work with Beck, Nine Inch Nails, and Garbage. Recorded by Greg Collins, the band is comprised of Christopher Allen, guitar; Branden Campbell, bass; Elaine Bradley, drums; and Tyler Glenn, vocals.

Neon Trees received nationwide exposure in late 2008 when they opened several North American tour dates for the rock band The Killers. Not long after, the band was signed by Mercury Records and released their first full length album, “Habits,” in 2010. Their first single, “Animal,” climbed to #13 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Alternative rock chart, and received the 2011 Billboard Award for Best Alternative Song.

“Animal” was featured as the Free Single of the Week on iTunes in March 2010. The band performed the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show, Late Show with David Letterman, Live! with Regis & Kelly, and on TBS’ Conan. Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 selected “Animal” as his Spin Magazine Pick of the Week. The song has also been featured in a commercial for Las Vegas and remixed by popular American DJ, Kaskade. The group has also released a digital EP of four remixes of the song, one of which was done by vocalist Tyler Glenn.

The new album from Neon Trees is scheduled for release in the first quarter 2012 .

Guitar Virtuoso, David Andersen, Salutes Jazz Pioneers With New Jazz Album

David Andersen, the “Ambassador to Music City,” is back with Revelations, his fourth Jazz album. This album underscores The Revelations Jazz Band and features Andersen and is a salute to true Jazz pioneers such as Louis Armstrong, WC Handy and Jelly Roll Morton.

Revelations is a new take on classic Jazz. The 11 song collection, which is Andersen’s first Jazz album since 2007, was recorded in front of a live audience in Anaheim, California in order to capture the true spirit of traditional Jazz. “When I brought the discs back to Nashville and first listened to them, I knew we had something special,” smiles Andersen. “We really captured that great sense of feeling and being there.”

These songs were performed by the Revelations Band and include Crescent City classics, such as Royal Garden Blues and Bourbon Street Parade and King Oliver’s Dallas Blues and Aunt Hagar’s Blues. A masterful display of collective improvisation, Revelations showcases classic hits while highlighting the new improvisational freedom of today’s Jazz.

Andersen solos on guitar on almost every cut and adds his rhythm work to the mix with flair. He has had a longtime dream come true in going back to the roots of American popular music and finding so much joy and feeling in the songs of the forefathers of Jazz. “To get a chance to create this joyful music with this great band was truly a revelation,” says Andersen.

As a child music genius reared in Long Beach, California, Andersen could play music before he could even talk. An accomplished songwriter and proficient on multiple instruments, Andersen’s music is currently being played on WAMB-FM. Each day, he gives every new friend he meets at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum his signature guitar pick and a challenge…”remember why they came to Nashville and to take time to enjoy the music they came here to find.” Indeed, and with a love and deep-seated respect for Music City, Andersen not only remembers but lives and breathes the music of Nashville every day.

Indie Singer/Songwriter Chase Frank Debuts Concept Album “Smile Trials”

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Chase Frank dropped her fourth, full-length studio release “Smile Trials” (Lindemark Music Collection) on iTunes September 20th. With its blend of raw, emotional vocals and minimalist melodies – the 9-song, concept album “Smile Trials” delivers music fans a healthy dose of Frank’s compelling brand of raw, gutsy, lo-fi Rock.

Lending his considerable skills to Frank’s latest release is Grammy Award-winning producer and keyboardist Ikey Owens (The Mars Volta/Long Beach Dub Allstars/Free Moral Agents). Engineered by Stephen Ceresia at Sunday House Studios in Bastrop, TX and Mixed & Mastered by Josh Achziger. Joined by Ikey Owens (keyboards); A.J. Butler (vocals); Steve Bernal (cello/bass) and Wayne Duncan (drums) – “Smile Trials” skillfully blends Frank’s fascination with early R&B, retro guitar sounds and the Blues on this stormy, confessional album.

Each song on “Smile Trials” is like a short story told through the eyes of Frank’s nine provocative characters. From the opening track, Johnny Masterall — a sparse, haunting track which tells the tale of a arrogant lothario turned desperate nightlife junkie — to the raw, stomp of Space Invasion which tells the story of a girl begging for simple human contact in the age of the internet & false bravado – while Sweet Apple rivets the listener with its gritty guitars, hypnotic drums and bittersweet tale of a woman who professes her love for the one that accepts her as she is. Each song on “Smile Trials” is a brilliantly executed blend of melody, minimalism and psychedelia.

“The songs on this album are like short stories – told through the voices of nine incendiary characters who either just can’t get it right – or simply love the night,” says Frank.

Frank is a native of Long Beach, CA. She currently resides in Austin, TX and performs her music in duo form with drummer Matt Danko touring both locally and nationally.

“Frank writes and plays like she’s both armed and on the run, with her time and vision saved only for the most vital things and Owens’ production shows just how gutsy these songs really are.” — Chris Ziegler, OC Weekly
